UEFISCDI is organizing a Workshop on Reporting on Fundamental Values of Higher Education in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), taking place in hybrid format in Bucharest on 18 September at the UEFISCDI office.
This event will bring together national representatives, experts, and stakeholders to discuss how fundamental values: academic freedom, institutional autonomy, participation of students and staff in higher education governance, academic integrity, and public responsibility of and for higher education, are monitored and reported on across the EHEA.
Participants will engage in sessions addressing key themes such as the EHEA fundamental values and their definitions in the Tirana Ministerial Communiqué, the NewFAV2 monitoring process: indicators, data sources, and the roles of national actors, respondents' experience with the relationship between the Bologna Process Implementation Report questionnaire and the Fundamental Values survey, and the initial results of monitoring fundamental values as both rights/freedoms and duties/obligations. The workshop will close with a session on key messages for the BFUG and the EHEA reporting cycle 2024–2027, and on the use of the fundamentalvalues.info platform for raising awareness on Fundamental Values, sharing reports, practices and resources.
