Working together for a green, democratic and resilient Europe

The Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI) has been designated as the Programme Operator (PO) for the Research and Innovation Programme under the EEA Financial Mechanism 2021–2028, established between the Donor States of Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein and the Government of Romania.

The Mechanism contributes to reducing economic and social disparities within the European Economic Area and to strengthening bilateral relations between the Donor States and the Beneficiary States through financial contributions aimed at promoting the following thematic priorities:
a) the European green transition;
b) democracy, the rule of law and human rights;
c) social inclusion and resilience.
