UEFISCDI is organizing a
Peer Learning Activity focused on the Public Responsibility of Higher Education in the European Higher Education Area (
EHEA), taking place in hybrid format in Bucharest on
24 February at the UEFISCDI venue. This event will bring together experts, stakeholders, and practitioners to explore how higher education institutions can better serve the public good, strengthen democratic societies, and respond to societal needs through their teaching, research, and engagement missions.
Participants will engage in sessions addressing key themes such as
conceptualizing the public responsibility of higher education, monitoring this responsibility within the EHEA, and examining current developments from a European perspective, including insights from the European University Association (
EUA). The program will also feature in-depth discussions on the social responsibility of academics and the democratic value of higher education, with contributions from distinguished scholars and practitioners from across Europe.
The
agenda of the event is available
